Our first Pantry Picnic at Swezey-Avey House on August 6, 2017, was a
great success, filling the food pantry at The Veterans' Place in Yaphank



On Sunday, May 5th, Colonel Josiah Smith Chapter presented a check for $1600 to The
Veteran's Place. Funds were raised at the chapter's Scrapbook Day event on April 22, 2017




On May 6th, our chapter welcomed home veterans returning to
MacArthur Airport after their Honor Flight



Our chapter hosted Gretchen Maresco, NYDAR Chairman of Lineage Research,
for a Free Genealogy Workshop at Patchogue-Medford Library on March 12, 2016

 
 
 
On June 2nd, 2012, our chapter joined with the Anna Smith Strong Chapter to honor
New York State Regent Denise Doring VanBuren (center) at our annual luncheon

flags to twelve new U.S. citizens at the Mastic Shirley Library on June 4, 2017



Graham Nathan, a member of Captain Austin Roe Chapter N.S.C.A.R., won first place
at the state and regional levels in the JAC Park Stamp Competition. He is pictured here

At our April 8th meeting, Councilman Michael Loguercio presented Corporal William W. We visited and toured two local historical sites--the Ketcham Inn and Havens House--on April 9, 2016



 The chapter co-sponsored the inaugural Liberty Luncheon, a Long Island  DAR-SAR networking
event, with the
Long Island Chapter SAR on September 8th, 2012. Funds raised were donated
to
The Veterans Place, a homeless shelter run by the Suffolk County United Veterans
