Our 2022–2025 Chapter Board

Welcome! So glad you found us!

Members of the Daughters of the American Revolution dedicate themselves to the promotion of of patriotism, education, and historical preservation. The Colonel Josiah Smith Chapter, NSDAR, has a deep history in the greater Patchogue area, and we seek to add women interested in any of the DAR service areas to our membership.

Our chapter has more than 100 members who are active in a wide variety of activities at the national, state, and chapter levels allowing them to engage in areas of interest for the purpose of serving their communities. We participate in local historical events, raise funds to support veteran and community outreach, collect non-perishable items for those in need, send care packages to adopted deployed troops, and provide scholarships for local high school graduates. We also frequently visit local historical landmarks that help us learn more about Long Island’s significant role in the fight for freedom during the Revolution and about the men and women who fought for the cause.

We love to hear from prospective members and tell them about our chapter’s activities, but most of all, we like to tell them about the wonderful interaction, support, and fun we get out of our group and the pride we feel when we carry out a project that benefits others in our community.

Please take the next step and contact us. Together we Make a Splash as we Rise and Shine for America.
