In April 2019, members toured the historic Brewster House in Setauket. During the American Revolution, Joseph Brewster (cousin of famed American Patriot and Culper spy Caleb Brewster) operated the house as a tavern and general store. Built in 1665, it’s considered the oldest house in the Town of Brookhaven.

In December 2021, members participated in the Wreaths Across America wreath laying ceremony at Calverton National Cemetery. They joined more than 1,000 other volunteers in honoring the nation’s veterans for their service and sacrifice.

In November 2021, Regent placed a wreath at the gravesite of Capt. Austin Roe as part of a roadside marker dedication and grave marking ceremony hosted by the Long Island Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution.

In October 2021, members participated in the departure and return ceremonies for Honor Flight Long Island.

In September 2021, Col. Josiah Smith and Anna Smith Strong Chapters hosted a booth at the Brookhaven Country Fair. Members dressed in colonial attire and promoted the DAR to the local community.

On June 1, 2019, the chapter honored Elaine Faith Thompson (leftmost), with the Women in the Arts Award. NYS Senator Monica Martinez and Brookhaven Town Supervisor Ed Romaine (holding Elaine's painting of George Washington) joined us.

Our chapter congratulated Longwood High School graduate Janeth Jiminez (pictured here with Honorary Regent) for winning our chapter scholarship in May 2017.

Our first Pantry Picnic at Swezey-Avey House on August 6, 2017, was a great success, filling the food pantry at The Veterans' Place in Yaphank

Our chapter hosted the NYDAR Chairman of Lineage Research for a Free Genealogy Workshop at Patchogue-Medford Library on March 12, 2016

 On June 2, 2012, our chapter joined with the Anna Smith Strong Chapter to honor the New York State Regent at our annual luncheon.

At our April 8th meeting, Councilman Michael Loguercio presented Corporal William W. Chapter members visited and toured two local historical sitesthe Ketcham Inn and Havens Houseon April 9, 2016.

 The chapter co-sponsored the inaugural Liberty Luncheon, a Long Island DAR-SAR networking event, with the Long Island Chapter SAR on September 8th, 2012. Funds raised were donated to The Veterans Place, a homeless shelter run by the Suffolk County United Veterans.
